Progressive Council is a student organization that represents the progressive movement at the University of Central Florida. Progressive Council serves as an umbrella organization to several constituent progressive student organizations that each have voting delegates for representation on the council, but all students are welcome and encouraged to get involved with Progressive Council. The organization works to achieve progressive social change on campus and beyond through events that focus on activism, education, and community-building.
Our Mission
To create a unified front for social and political progression among and between the organizations of the council and serve as a framework of support for any and all organizations included within, including financial and informational resources and networking systems for organizations on the university, local, state and national levels.
Joining as an Individual
Being a member of the Progressive Council is easy: just come to the Progressive Council meetings! Progressive Council is always looking for more passionate, talented people to join its ranks. Joining as an Organization
All student organizations that are interested in joining the progressive movement are welcome and encouraged to apply for organizational membership in the Progressive Council! If your student organization would like to join, fill out the application below. Upon receipt of your application, representatives from your organization will be asked to attend a Progressive Council meeting where the current delegates will consider your application and conduct a vote on whether or not to accept it.
